My work is about the art and science of convening emergence.

Emergence is what living systems do from an intention of creating the kinds of happiness that can only be created in a shared intention for the well-being of the parts and the whole.

Convening is bringing people together with new questions. These are the questions that get people moving in the directions of the dreams and passions.

They are questions that have the power to get people moving from stuckness to thrivancy. They are the questions that invite people to discover and engage each other’s gifts of talents, resources, and connections.

We come together in communities, organizations, neighborhoods, villages, regions and networks that transcend boundaries.

I approach this work as designer. Design is the discovery and co-creation of new possibilities that make a difference.

Everyone I work with wants to make a difference. They are inspired by a future different from the past. They seek to belong to a larger whole that brings about their personal and collective wholeness.

And we make a difference every time. The questions we use to convene new conversations have this power. It is not power any one of us have but a power we have together in our emergence.

It is beautiful work, full of wonder. I am deeply grateful and in awe of each opportunity.
